SKYPASS

Korean Air welcomes all its valued passengers to the SKYPASS program.

The SKYPASS program is Korean Air's Frequent Flyer Program, which offers you many ways to earn miles for Upgrades and Free Travel Awards with Korean Air and its exclusive group of partners.

Korean Air's partners offer many benefits which you will enjoy as a SKYPASS member, and more ways to accumulate miles to your account when you fly with Aeromexico, Air France, Alitalia, Czech Airlines and Delta Airlines, stay in some of the best hotels in the world, rent a car, and shop at Hanjin Duty Free shops.

HOW TO ENROLL:

Simply fill out the SKYPASS Membership Form and return to the nearest Korean Air office.

You will be enrolled as a SKYPASS member.

You must be at least 12 years of age to join the SKYPASS Program.

Children between 2 and 11 years of age can join the SKYPASS JUNIOR Program.

• There is no enrollment fee.
  
  
• Your SKYPASS account will never expire in your lifetime.
  

HOW TO EARN MILES :

All you have to do is provide your SKYPASS account number when you make your reservation, and the appropriate mileage will be credited to your account.

• You must be enrolled in the SKYPASS program before you can start earning miles.
  
  
• The mileage earned for travel on Korean Air is based on IATA Ticketed Point Mileage.
  
  
• You can only accumulate mileage on your own SKYPASS account
  
  
• The mileage earned depends on the Booking Class & Fare Type of your ticket.
  
  
• You will earn additional mileage when you travel Morning Calm Class, First Class or Prestige Class.
  
  
• Certain Booking Classes & Fare Types are not eligible for SKYPASS mileage credit.

If, for some reason, you do not receive proper mileage credit, simply submit the Original Ticket Jacket, and Original Boarding Cards to any Korean Air office, and your mileage will be adjusted accordingly.

Mileage statements will be mailed to you on twice-yearly basis, and at any time, you can request for a summary of your current mileage credit from any Korean Air office anywhere in the world.

HOW TO CLAIM SKYPASS AWARDS :

Simply contact your local Korean Air office prior to commencement of your travel, and you can redeem your mileage for Upgrades and Free Travel Awards by filling out a Mileage Redemption form.

You can claim travel awards for yourself, or you can designate awards to the following family members: grandparents, parents, spouse, brothers, sisters, children, parents-in-law, sons-in-law, and daughters-in-law.

• You will have to redeem additional mileage if you use your SKYPASS miles to claim travel awards during peak season.
  
  
• The following dates are considered as peak season in 2004:
  1. July 20, 2004 - August 20, 2004
  2. December 30, 2004 - December 31, 2004.
  

FAMILY PLAN :

The SKYPASS Family Plan allows you to pool your mileage with grandparents, parents, spouse, children, and grandchildren (up to 5 family members, including the applicant) to claim travel awards. (Restrictions apply).

SKYPASS JUNIOR PROGRAM :

Children between 2 and 11 years of age, who are enrolled in the SKYPASS JUNIOR Program, earn 75% of the applicable adult miles when flying with Korean Air.

When the child completes 12 years of age, he/she will automatically qualify for membership to the SKYPASS program, and the balance of his/her accrued mileage will be transferred to the new SKYPASS account.

ELITE FLYER PRIVILEGES :

MORNING CALM CLUB:

When you have accumulated more than 50,000 miles, of which more than 30,000 miles have been accrued by traveling on Korean Air, you will be qualify for the Morning Calm Club membership, and will receive the following privileges, regardless of the class of service flown:

• Exclusive Morning Calm check-in service at major international airports. First Class check-in service at all other overseas international Korean Air on-line airports.
  
• Door-side baggage handling.
  
• Free additional 10 kg baggage weight allowance (except for travel to/from U.S.A and U.S. territories, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America).
  
• Special room rates at participating hotels worldwide.
  
• Special rates on car rentals from Hertz worldwide.
  
• Special rates at Hanjin duty free shops.

Please remember to provide your Morning Calm Club membership account number when making reservations and checking in at airports and hotels. Your Morning Calm Club membership will be automatically renewed if you maintain a minimum of 30,000 miles within a 2-year membership period. Otherwise, you will continue to accumulate mileage on your SKYPASS membership account.

MORNING CALM PREMIUM CLUB:

When you have flown more than 500,000 miles on Korean Air and its airline partners, you achieve Morning Calm Premium Club status, and will receive the following privileges, in addition to the benefits given to Morning Calm Club members:

• First Class check-in service.
  
• Access to the Morning Calm Lounge (Business Class section).
  
• Extra baggage allowance of 20 kg (except for travel to/from U.S.A and U.S. territories, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America).
  
• Off-peak mileage requirements for bonus awards during peak season.

MILLION MILER CLUB:

When you have flown more than 1 million miles on Korean Air and its airline partners, you qualify for a lifetime membership in the Million Miler Club, and will receive the following privileges:

• Priority seat confirmation and boarding.
  
• Access to the First Class Lounge.
  
• Million Miler Club members receive a crystal trophy upon achieving Million Miler status, and a birthday gift every year.
  
• Off-peak mileage requirements for bonus awards during peak season.
